30A Homes for Sale on East End 53% Higher

It’s interesting to see how the price per sq ft for homes for sale along 30A differ as you head east. What do I mean by this?

First, we break up Scenic Hwy 30A into the west end vs. east end. The west end is from the intersection of Hwy 98 and the west end of 30A to Grayton Beach (why 283). The east end of 30A is from (Hwy 283) Watercolor to Rosemary Beach.

Now that you understand how the ‘lingo’ works here regarding 30A West end vs. 30A East end, here are some charts showing the price differences. The east end of 30A is, on average, (thru August 2013) will cost you 53% more than the west end. I compared prices back to 2010 and here are how the numbers fall: 2010 – 50%, 2011 – 69%, 2012 – 52% and thru August 2013 – 53%.

Let’s take it one step further. If we compare the Destin market to 30A, here’s how the numbers fall…

West end of 30A of vs. Destin: 2010 – 23% higher, 2011 – 18%, 2012 -29% and 2013 thru August – 20%

East end of 30A vs. Destin: 2010 84% higher, 2011 – 100%, yes double the price, 2012 – 96% and thru August 2013 – 84%.
